Workers finish P10-M district hospital
MACABEBE – An official from the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) revealed that the construction of the P10-million district hospital in this town has already been completed.
Rene Gutierrez, provincial engineer, said the newly constructed hospital is ready for inauguration anytime. It is expected to be opened to public next week.
The hospital was constructed to serve the medical needs of the Kapampangans particularly those who cannot afford to pay the high cost of medical expenses in private hospitals.
It is aimed at providing an efficient and effective health services to the people of Macabebe and neighboring towns.
This hospital was first constructed in early 1982.
The PEO disclosed that another P50 million has been allocated this year for the improvement and expansion of other district hospitals.
Earlier, Governor Lilia Pineda led the inauguration of the P35-million Andres Luciano District Hospital, formerly known as Balitucan District Hospital, in Barangay San Pablo, Magalang town.
Among other district hospitals already inaugurated by Pineda were Mabalacat and San Luis district hospitals.
The renovation of Arayat district hospital in Barangay Laquios is still ongoing.
The Provincial Government is focusing on the construction and rehabilitation of all the district hospitals to bring an integrated medical assistance closer to remote communities.
