Man jailed for gun, drugs
MAGALANG, Pampanga–A 34-year old man was nabbed by police authorities on Tuesday for illegal drug trade and illegal possession of a firearm in Barangay San Nicolas 2 here, a belated report said yesterday.
Police identified the suspect as Ariel Alegado Caylao, married and a resident of 24 B1, Carlo Street, Holy Family Village, Phase 1, Angeles City.
Investigations revealed that operatives, around 2 p.m. of the said day, conducted a drug bust operation in the area wherein Caylao was caught in the act selling a sachet of suspected shabu in exchange of P500 given by a poseur buyer.
Immediately, police collared Caylao and took him to this town’s police station.
Confiscated from Caylao’s car were a .38 caliber revolver Squiresbingham (767881), six live ammunitions and illegal drug paraphernalia.
Violations to Section 5 of Republic Act 9165 commonly known as Dangerous Drugs Act and Republic Act 8294 in relation to COMELEC gun ban were filed against Caylao. ●Marna Dagumboy-del Rosario
